Miller County Jail Roster Start
The official first stop for Miller County jail inmate records is the Miller County roster choice page. It separates the search into two public views: Current Inmates and 48 Hour Release. Current Inmates is for people listed at the Miller County Detention Center now. The 48 Hour Release view is for people who left custody during the last two days, which helps when a person bonded out, was released after court, or was moved before a family member checked the roster.
The roster is free and does not require a login. It is not a certified record. The sheriff's disclaimer says the detention center collects and provides the information for convenience, but cannot certify accuracy or authenticity. That matters for bond, charges, and case numbers because those can change after court. Use the roster to identify the person and booking event, then verify important details with detention staff, the court, or the agency that created the record.
The official roster choice page shows why the two views matter before a user reaches the list itself.
The split between current custody and recent release is the key local feature. It should be checked before assuming a person is still housed at the jail.
Use the Miller County Roster
The Miller County roster works more like a browsable list than a typed name search. The current roster page includes controls for Name, Date, Current, Released, Sort Newest to Oldest, Sort Oldest to Newest, page arrows, and alphabet links when the roster is in name-order mode. There is also a website search box on the sheriff site, but the research did not show a roster-only last-name text box, date-of-birth field, or booking-number search field for public input.
- Open the roster choice page, then select Current Inmates if the person is believed to be at the Miller County Adult Detention Center now.
- Use the 48 Hour Release view if the person may have bonded out, been released, or transferred during the last two days.
- On the current roster, switch between date order and name order. Use the alphabet filter when it appears.
- Open the "View Profile >>>" link for the public booking profile, mugshot, charges, bond, and booking details.
- Call detention staff before posting bond or relying on a listed charge, bond amount, or case number.
The current Miller County inmate roster displays mugshot thumbnails, booking numbers, booking dates, charge text, bond, profile links, and sorting controls.
The list view is useful for quick custody checks, while the profile link is where the fuller public inmate record appears.
Miller County Roster Controls
The public roster controls are important because they define what a Miller County inmate record search can and cannot do online. A person who expects a search form with first name, last name, date of birth, and booking number may miss the roster because the sheriff site mainly uses links, tabs, sorting, pagination, and profile buttons. The table below follows the captured roster controls from the research file.
| Field Label | Type | Required | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Current Inmates >> | Link | No | Opens the current Miller County Detention Center roster. |
| 48 Hour Release >> | Link | No | Opens people released during the last 48 hours. |
| Name | Sort link | No | Sorts or filters by name; alphabet links can appear in name-order view. |
| Date | Sort link | No | Sorts by booking date. |
| Current | Tab or link | No | Returns to the current inmate list. |
| Released | Tab or link | No | Shows the recent release list. |
| View Profile >>> | Button or link | No | Opens the individual public inmate profile. |
Note: The sitewide "Query Sitename" search is not the same as the jail roster search controls.
Miller County Inmate Profile Fields
A Miller County inmate profile gives more detail than the roster row. The sample profile inspected in the research file showed a booking number, age, gender, race, arresting agency, booking date and time, charge text, bond, and one booking photo. It did not show date of birth, height, weight, eye color, hair color, housing unit, pod, court date, warrant number, case number, magistrate, or bond type. The arresting agency field is also useful because the jail can hold people for outside agencies.
| Field | What It Shows |
|---|---|
| Mugshot | Public booking-photo thumbnail or profile image. |
| Name | The inmate's name as shown on the roster. |
| Booking # | A six-digit booking number tied to the jail intake event. |
| Booking Date | Date and time of intake in the format shown by the roster. |
| Release Date | Shown on the 48-hour release page when available. |
| Age, Gender, Race | Profile fields observed in the inspected sample. |
| Arresting Agency | The agency tied to the arrest or hold, which may be outside Miller County. |
| Charges | Plain-English charge text from the booking record, not always the final filed court charge. |
| Bond | A dollar amount when posted, with a warning that bail may change after court. |
The inspected sample inmate profile shows the public field layout and the warning about charges and bail changing after court appearances.
The profile view is the best online source for a single Miller County inmate record, but it still needs direct verification for bond and court use.
Miller County Booking Records
Miller County does not publish a detailed booking desk manual, so booking records should be read from the public fields the jail does publish. A person arrested in Miller County or brought in on a warrant is taken through intake at the Adult Detention Center. Intake commonly includes identity checks, warrants and holds, property handling, medical and safety screening, fingerprints, a booking photo, charge entry, bond entry when known, classification, and housing assignment. The public roster shows that the jail assigns a booking number and records a booking date and time.
After intake, the record path can split. The jail roster remains the custody source while the person is held locally. Court charges and court dates move through the Miller County Circuit Court and Missouri Case.net. If the person is sentenced to Missouri Department of Corrections custody, MODOC Offender Search becomes the better locator. If the person is held on a federal or immigration matter, the BOP locator or ICE ODLS may be needed instead of the county jail roster.
Miller County Custody Systems
Miller County inmate records are not stored in one database. The county roster covers people in the local jail, including pretrial detainees, warrant arrests, sentenced local prisoners, parole or probation holds, municipal prisoners, people waiting for state prison or community corrections beds, and other-agency holds. State prisoners are searched through the Missouri Department of Corrections Offender Search. Federal sentenced inmates are searched through the Federal Bureau of Prisons inmate locator. Immigration custody is checked through ICE ODLS.
| Custody Type | Where to Look | What It Usually Means |
|---|---|---|
| County jail custody | Miller County current roster | Person is listed at the Miller County Adult Detention Center. |
| Recent county release | Miller County 48 Hour Release page | Person left the jail during the posted two-day window. |
| Sentenced state custody | Missouri DOC Offender Search | Person has moved into state prison or state supervision. |
| Federal sentenced custody | BOP inmate locator | Person is in federal custody from 1982 to present. |
| Immigration detention | ICE Online Detainee Locator System | Person is in immigration custody, not a county mugshot roster. |
| Victim notification | Missouri VINELink | Notification tool where county or DOC data is available. |
The MODOC search page is built for active offenders, including probationers and parolees, and uses first name, last name, and a captcha.
A missing county roster entry may mean release, transfer, state custody, federal custody, immigration custody, or a record that must be requested from the agency.
Miller County Records Fallbacks
When the roster does not answer the question, the fallback chain is local and specific. Call the Miller County Sheriff's Office at 573-369-2341 and use jail extension 711 for jail contact. The public office is at 1999 MO-52, Tuscumbia, MO 65082, and posted sheriff office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Custody operations run around the clock, but public counter service and records handling may not follow the same schedule.

For booking, arrest, or jail records that are no longer online, use a Missouri Sunshine Law request through the Sheriff's Office. The research did not locate a Miller County-specific records request form or fee schedule, so a practical request should identify the person's name, booking number if known, booking date if known, and the exact record sought. The sheriff contact page warns that plain text email is not secure for confidential, sensitive, or personal information, so call or ask the office how to submit sensitive details safely.
Miller County Visitation Rules
Video visitation is the published visitation method for the Miller County Adult Detention Center. The sheriff detention page links ICSolutions, and the Miller County ICSolutions page describes The Visitor video visitation system. Onsite visits use video terminals in the facility visitation center. Offsite visits can use a computer or mobile device after registration and testing. Visitors register at no cost, but offsite visitation is fee-based, and connectivity problems during offsite visits are not refunded.
| Days | Morning | Afternoon | Evening |
|---|---|---|---|
| Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday | 0800-1200 | 1300-1700 | 1800-2000 |
| Thursday | 0800-1200 | 1300-1530 | 1800-2000 |
The official detention center page lists video visitation hours, dress rules, mail limits, phone refund notes, deposit methods, and other jail procedures.
Those rules affect inmate record searches because visits, deposits, phone messages, and mail should be attempted only after current custody is confirmed.
Miller County Inmate Contact
Mail, phone, photos, and money deposits are separate from the jail roster, but each depends on a correct inmate identity. As of the sheriff page reviewed in the research, incoming inmate mail is postcard-only except for legal or privileged mail not further detailed there. Postcards must include the inmate name and booking number and use the P.O. Box 13, Tuscumbia, Missouri 65082 mail address. Photos must be sent by email through TurnKey Corrections and approved by detention staff.
Money orders are no longer accepted by the detention center. Deposits use TurnKey Corrections or InmateCanteen online, or the kiosk in the Sheriff's Office visitation lobby from 08:00 AM to 08:00 PM. The inmate message phone number posted by the jail is 573-369-6004. ICS Customer Care handles inmate phone debit refund issues at 888-506-8407, and the sheriff page says refund requests should be made within 30 days of release to expedite the process.
Note: Confirm the inmate's current custody and booking number before sending mail, money, photos, or a video visit request.
Common Miller County Roster Terms
Roster language can be short, and several terms mean different things in jail, court, and corrections records. A booking charge is not always the filed court charge. A hold can block release even when a bond amount appears. A state DOC record means the person has moved out of ordinary county jail lookup. These definitions keep the Miller County inmate record in the right system.
- Booking
- The jail intake event after arrest, warrant service, or commitment.
- Charge
- An accusation listed by the arresting agency or prosecutor. It may change in court.
- Bond
- Money or conditions set to secure release and court appearance.
- Detainer or hold
- A request or authority from another agency to keep custody.
- DOC
- Missouri Department of Corrections, the state system for sentenced offenders and supervision records.
- VINELink
- A public notification tool for custody or release alerts where data is available.
For court charges that follow a booking, the separate court record path is covered under Miller County court records after jail arrest. For booking photos tied to these roster profiles, use the Miller County jail mugshots page.
